We are setting up a new team of learning volunteers based at Marple.

The volunteer role includes leading workshops, guided walks and activities to introduce children and families to the rich heritage and nature of Mellor Mill, Marple Lime Kilns and the Peak Forest Canal. You will be making sure every aspect of the session runs smoothly and will pride yourself in making sure they want to come back. There will also be opportunities to visit local schools to deliver outreach sessions, and more informal learning activities with families and special interest groups. The role particularly suits people with experience of working with children and families. If you're interested then please email [email protected] or call 07825 044379.

There is a session at which you can learn more about this opportunity at Marple Library on 1st November at 2pm - 4pm. Come along, find out what is involved, and ask us any questions you may have. It's useful to let us know you will be attending - just so we have an idea of numbers and can provide enough tea and coffee! Please let us know on the email address or phone number above.

We hope to see you soon!
