How was the Goyt Valley in Mellor and Marple formed? Join a local geologist for this two-hour moderate walk and spot clues which tell the story of the Ice Age here. Deepen your understanding of how the Industrial Revolution shaped this ancient landscape. You’ll never look at your surroundings in the same way again!

This free guided walk is suitable for people with good mobility. It is a moderate walk of 3km (2 miles) fairly flat, on moderate paths. Please wear sturdy shoes, and sensible clothes for the weather.
