| Description | Oldknow's Warehouse is a listed building (No 39) which was probably built in the early 19th century. It is built over the canal so that goods could be loaded and unloaded in all weathers. St.Martin's Road and Lakes Road provided the most convenient route from Mellor Mill to the canal. Note the hoist. (there is one on each side of the building.) |
