| Description | There used to be a spur of the canal so that barges could take the finished lime from the building on Strines Road to the main canal between locks 12 and 13. The spur was parallel with Strines Road and passed under Stockport Road at Posset bridge, The archway there can still be seen. This picture shows two arches in the end of the building on the left. The canal spur has been filled in and houses built over it. |
